I picked up an old ice cream wrapper from my neighbours shrubbery and then found 2 beer cans in my own front garden. Bonza! No one saw me either.
AOK WEEK 10: 7 - 13 May
Mission: Help a spider out of the house instead of squishing it!
Name: Rebecca
Location: Leicester
I helped three spiders out of my room on Friday. One of them was huge!!
Name: Amy
Location: Chelmsford
Well, it took a lot of courage but I did manage it. I used the glass and paper method and had to get my brother to watch over me incase the spider tried to eat me or somethin ridiculous like that!
Name: Adam
Location: ???
O.K errrm normally I just delete these when i get them but for some reason this morning i decided to read...
Once I had read it I expected I probably wouldn't see a spider all week anyways so it wouldn't matter.
However, and yes, it wasn't in my house but as soon as I arrived in school there it was THE SPIDER but not just any spider but one of the ones that looks like the one out of spiderman which bites is hand... he was a killer!! so I took him outside. The end.
Name: Abi
Location: Winchester
I am truly terrified of spiders, but there was one in the bathroom last night and me and my housemate teamed up with a plastic cup and a dvd box to trap it and set it free!!
It wasn't anywhere near as scary as I thought it would be and I felt much kinder for setting it free than I usually do when I hoover them up!!!
AOK WEEK 9: 30 April -6 May
Mission: Randomly text a mate to tell them they are ace!
Name: TGI Tuesday's
Location: Coventry
We did it as a youth cell group all together at the same time and discussed what we would say when our mates text us back asking what it was about (other than them being ace). It was loads of fun and we practiced paying each other compliments after... it was a bit embarrassing at first but everyone left feeling good. We are now going to do our AOK every Tuesday (whether we meet or not) and trying to think of others to do during the week.
Name: Megan
Location: Watford
In my dorm at my school, there are 4 of people. We turned the lights out at 10:30pm, and at about 11pm I remebered to tell someone that they're ace, so I text my friend who was sleeping below me as I wanted her to find the text when she woke up, but as soon as I sent it her phone started flashing and ringing. I woke up everyone and they were really annoyed. Oops!
Name: Katie
Location: Cambridge
I texted lots of my mates, the ones I may not have spoken to much lately, and I got so many texts back saying how great it was that it made them feel so loved and so happy! One of my mates said "I got your AOK text, Thanks! I was all... How did you know? He goes, cause I did it too! lol! It really showed me how much my friends appreciate this and how much they love me!
Name: Robert
Location: London
It was brilliant , I thought it was wierd to be sending a random text to a mate I hadn't seen for ages and when I sent it the response was awesome, he was really encouraged and he said that he needed it! Thanks for the initiative to do this.
Name: Jon
Location: New Milton
I texted three people who iIfelt God wanted me to text. Two of them rung me up asking why I said they were awesome. I just said why not? You are aren't you? It really meant something to them. I got invited for a game of squash from one of them and a game of golf from the other. I would like to take him to Soul Survivor this year so please pray for him!
Name: Lizzie
Location: Yeovil
I bought someone a cold drink on a hot day. I know I did it in the wrong week but I work for a big company in Yeovil and we have security guards who patrol the site. It was a hot day yesterday and on my way to the shop to get an ice-cream I noticed one of them stood out in the heat stopping cars for random spot checks.
I decided to get him a cold drink, I've never seen him before. On the way back I nearly bottled it (don't know why) but I went up to him, and said "It's a hot day and I thought you might like this, have a nice day!" he looked shocked, laughed and said thank you in complete disbelief! How strange in this country where we think we are kind people that something like that would be a complete shock to someone! I praise God that I was able to make someone's day, whether I got the chance to spread His word or not.
AOK WEEK 8: 23-29 April
Mission: Talk less, listen more
Name: Megan
Location: Watford
Well, we just began our bible study at school when a girl who isn't a Christian came up to us and starting talking to me completely off the subject, but I was polite and made conversation with her. After about 20 minutes of listening to her I returned to our bible study meeting to find that they had just finished!
AOK WEEK 7: 16-22 April
Mission: Be nice to the person behind a shop counter and ask them how their day has been
Name: Tom
Location: Tesco somewhere in the UK
I asked someone how their day had been and they thought I was asking about their Davey! 'Who's Davey' she said, I said 'er what?' and she was well confused and I was too...
I ended up having a right chuckle with an older lady at Tesco!
AOK WEEK 6: 9-15 April

I waved at a baby. It went alright really ...managed to stop the little fellow from one large tonsil-buster amongst the shopping aisles!!
Name: Lolli
Location: Wales
Well.......I didn't wave, but it says smile aswell! So I smiled at this little toddler in Asda when we were out shopping, and this huge ginormous grin spread across its face! it made me laugh so much! And everytime we passed this little boy who was only like 1 or somthing like that, and its mum again it looked at me and smiled its head of! And i was laughing aswell by the end of it! and no-one could figure out what was so funny! i'll definatly do another one!
Name: Emily
Location: Basingstoke
I made faces and played peek-a-boo with a baby in Spain while there on an exchange visit. He beamed right back at me, so I repeated it when I went to France. Just goes to show that babies are the same the world over!
AOK WEEK 5: 2 - 8 April
Mission: Give away an Easter egg!
Name: Jane
Location: Bournemouth
I gave my friend and her sister an Easter Egg last friday because they were leaving for a holiday the next day. I went round during the day and left the eggs by their back door for them to find when they got home, with a little note to say happy Easter. They both got really excited, especially since my friends sister doesn't like a lot of chocolate so it was harder to find something she actually liked. They appriciated it very much, it felt good to put a smile on their faces.
Name: Ben
Location: Surbiton
Me and quite a few from my church went to our local station (Surbiton - which is fairly big and busy) to hand out Cadbury's Creme Eggs! We shifted them all in just over an hour, along with 'business card' type things for our church. A large number of people stopped to chat, and the look on peoples faces as they lightened up for the first time in 24 hours was priceless. We will probably do it again, just with more eggs/chocolate/food.
AOK WEEK 4: 26 March - 1 April
Mission: Give a lollipop to a lollipop lady

I gave a lolllipop lady a lollipop. It was brilliant, she just thought it was really funny and so did I!

AOK WEEK 3: 19-25 March
Mission: Swap places with the person behind you in a queue
Name: Lorna
Location: Geneva International Airport
I was at the airport at passport control and let the person behind go in front. He was so taken aback that he couldn't quite believe and it took a few seconds of 'after you's' before he finally went in front - looking a bit bewildered!
Name: Joel
Location: Whitstable
They looked quite surprised, and thanked me a lot
Name: Hannah
Location: Shoreham-By-Sea
Cool! Went really well!
AOK WEEK 2: 12-18 March
Mission: Do something nice for a Mum you meet
Name: Tim
Location: London
I helped a mum by carrying one of her kids off the plane the other day as she had two children and bags to carry. She said thanks and the kid didn't cry so I guess it went ok!
Name: Rachel
Location: Cambridge
I met a mum, who doesn't go to church, and offered to take her children to a kids event at our church while she goes out.
Name: Becky
Location: Forest of Dean
A couple of weeks ago, my friend told me that their grandma (their mother's mum) had died quite suddenly. Trying to think of something nice to do, as I am quite closely acquainted with the family, I thought it'd be a simple, but thoughtful, gesture to buy their mum some flowers, as we get on really well anyway!
Anyway, she loved the flowers, and it turns out that the flowers I had chosen had been her late mother's favourite! The colour and all! So, overall, very much appreciated!
AOK WEEK 1: 5-7 March
Mission: To buy a Coke and give it away
Name: Joel
Location: Croydon
Our AOK's are going really well - we actually run a programme doing outreach with young people where we literally just wander round the streets giving them chocolate every week! Kind of an AOK ministry!
Name: Jo
Location: Wincanton
The hardest part was choosing who to give the coke to! I was on my way to the bus stop to get home from college, and popped into Woolies to buy the coke. Realising that one of the most depressing things in the world is waiting for your bus to arrive (when it is ALWAYS late) I decided to give out my coke to people at the bus stop to cheer them up! I think they were a little suspicious at first, but when I explained that it was totally free and they didn't have to do anything, there were many smiling faces when the bus finally arrived!
Name: Carrie
Location: Teddington
On a cold rainy Friday afternoon in Teddington, Tearfund's Carrie Hall ventured onto the streets armed with a multipack of Coca Cola cans and a heart of goodness. After just 20 minutes Carrie had given away 6 Cokes. Three drinks went to three young ladies who'd just finished school and were accosted with an Act of Kindness outside the local Boots! Two lads also had the opportunity to unexpectedly quench their thirst and the final free fizzy drink went to a lady who'd just finished work for the afternoon!
The result? Smiles, kindness and positivity on the streets of Teddington. Everyone loves an AOK Day!
